TRACE CROSSING PROVIDES "BACK-2-SCHOOL" BASH FOR KIDS
500
Hot Dogs served, 300 School supply bags handed out, 100 Degrees of
heat, and 1 incredible day. That about sums up the Back-2-School BASH
that Trace Crossing did on Sunday, August 5th for the children of the
Ida Street Community. There was face painting, inflatables, carnival
games, hot hot dogs and cold cold drinks.
Several hundred
people came out to brave the heat and have a little fun. The highlight
of the whole day was handing out over 300 bags of school supplies to
children headed back to school later this week. There was also a
special time of prayer with the principals of some of Tupelo's local
schools.
Several area organizations - including churches,
businesses, and associations - contributed much-needed donations to
make the event a success:
- Lee County Baptist Association
- West Jackson Street Baptist Church
- Kroger
- Wal-Mart
- Todd's Big Star
- Harvey's Restaurant
- McDonald's
- Burger King
- Wonder Bread Store
- Discount Bread
- Adventure Land
- Tad's Pizza Party
- Bags for School Supplies provided by Cracker Barrel, Olive Garden, CDF of Tupelo, Southern Living
Thank you to all the area businesses and individuals that helped make the Back-2-School BASH a great day!
