Leadership
One Team. One Passion.
Trace Crossing takes a team approach to ministry leadership and believes the church functions best when there is a plurality of leaders following a common vision with a united passion.
Landon Dowden, Senior Pastor
With the firm belief that the Gospel is the only hope for aligning our lives with God's Word, Landon Dowden is firmly committed to verse by verse exposition of the Bible, because "nothing is
better for God’s people than God’s Word." Landon yielded his own life to Christ at the age of eight while growing up in Louisiana. After finishing with a Bachelor's degree from Louisiana State University, Landon furthered his studies with three graduate-level degrees (Master of Divinity, Master of Theology & Doctorate of Philosophy) at New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary in New Orleans, LA.
He is married to Tara and father to Arabella (7), Adalaide (3) & Adoniram (2). Leading and shepherding his family is a great priority to Landon, as is making
disciples through preaching, mentoring, biblical counseling, and through living life
together in the power of the Gospel.
Some of Landon's hidden talents are
humming and beatboxing simultaneously, rapping part of Psalm 23 in Hebrew, being a national record holder for
Jump Rope for Heart, and still being able to remember the “cheat code” to
Contra on Nintendo.

Kevin Williams, Worship Pastor

Kevin Williams is a preacher's kid and a native of Alabama but calls Mississippi home. Kevin and his wife Christian have a son, Chael (12) and a daughter, Ella Kate (9). Before coming to Trace Crossing in 2006, Kevin traveled the southeast leading worship for conferences, camps, revivals, and other events through Kevin M. Williams Ministries, founded in 1995 and also served from 2000-2001 as the Associate Pastor of Worship at The Church at Brook Hills in Birmingham, AL. Kevin is a 1996 Music Theory and Composition graduate of Samford University. Kevin is a fan of SEC football, mainly the Auburn Tiger variety and couldn't really care less about other teams or other sports. Not very adventurous or much of a risk-taker, Kevin is definitely the most boring guy on staff and enjoys the activities provided by the great indoors...hanging with his family, watching films, television and enjoying live or recorded music...writing music, playing music, listening to music, acquiring music, dissecting music, and criticizing music.

Barton Ramsey, Student Minister
Barton began serving as our student minister in August 2009. Barton and his wife Bethany met while attending Criswell College in Dallas, TX. They married July 2008, and they finished their degrees at Liberty University. Their first daughter, Naomi Grace, was born in December of 2010. Barton was born and raised here in Tupelo. He loves riding motorcycles, duck hunting, UFC, and NASCAR. Like Kevin, Barton is also a fan of Auburn University football. Barton strives to walk alongside parents in order to disciple our middle school and high school students by teaching the word and leading them to serve locally, nationally, and globally.

Shane Robbins, LifeGroups Coordinator

Shane Robbins came to Trace Crossing in March 2007, but didn't start coordinating our LifeGroups until Summer 2008. Shane and his wife Tricia have two kids - a girl named Morgan and a son named Ethan. Growing up in Tupelo and a graduate of Tupelo High (88'), he remembers the excitement of "the new mall" and weekend tours of "the strip" between the old Burger King and bowling alley. Shane now works as the Program Director for Millcreek Centers of North Mississippi, which provides residential and day treatment programs specializing in mental health treatment for children and adolescents with emotional and behavioral problems. He completed his undergraduate degree at Southeastern University in Lakeland, Florida (93') and his Master's degree in Clinical Social Work from the University of Tennessee (01'). He is currently enrolled in seminary at Liberty University based in Lynchburg, Virgina. He is a huge fan of the Tennessee Vols, St. Louis Cardinals, and even still pulls for the ol' Golden Wave.
